Decades of experience in many musical genres from both the technical and artistic approach, combined with a rare collective appreciation of musical composition and form, fuse together, forging the Detroit Rain Music sound.
After some time, building on their applied experience, these architects of sound have reunited and are back creating musical soundscapes infused with Dub, Rock, Jazz and Hip Hop styles that listeners so enjoyed. Collaborating with labels and artists, composing, arranging, producing, recording and mixing, Detroit Rain Music strives to bring about a complete, unique and timeless sound experience. Artists or labels interested in working with us, our artists, music catalogue, or to provide on-line production services, please contact us at detroitrainmusic@gmail.com to discuss options and details.

Martyn Jones
Detroit Rain Music's Martyn Jones has had a full career in the music industry so far. The Liverpool born bassist went from founding the group "Refugee" which earned several international releases on labels like Chrysalis, PolyGram and Island Records, and toured the world supporting them, to being a busy Toronto session bassist, accruing dozens of album credits. Martyn has been actively producing albums for songwriters, playing live and collaborating with original artists across Canada. An experienced singer, he is also in demand for vocal sessions and is a multi instrumentalist. His career path also includes helping to develop an audio preamp unit for musical instruments and recording studios. He and his electronics designer associate David Lee have created a circuit that produces clear, smooth bass tones as evidenced on the recordings of Detroit Rain Music.
Our first record "The Conqueraahs" was introduced to help initiate the website, our artists, their work and that of the audio personnel involved.
It's doing well in streaming and downloads.
As an apparatus and vehicle for our other artists albums and singles, it will continue forward with integrity.
Our goal is to continue working closely with artists producing their (and our) records for the future. Peace in 2020!
